![]() I've always wanted a successful career. It's a paradox, but today I still don't know what that means; instead, I do know that dreams don't come true if you are ignorant and indifferent, but that you must fight to get what you want. I had the chance to join the BRD team in January 2004 as part of the Start Manager Program. The recruitment process was long, yet extremely complex and interesting, which was a real challenge for me. It was followed by a 6-month professional training, mixing theory and practice, within the Unirea Group, where I met excellent colleagues who helped me to build up my knowledge and develop professionally. As geographical mobility was one of the components of this program, in July 2004, taking advantage from the lack of radars on the National Road 1, I hurried to the Ploiesti Group where I worked as a Bonne Gamme Consultant. There I met a united, upright and professional team who supported me in my activity. Starting November 2005, I came back to Bucharest as Agency Coordinator within the Group that had adopted me some time before. Coordinating a young and dynamic team meant for me an opportunity of personal and professional development. Whatever my activity, I rely on sound principles, on seriousness, perseverance and determination. I understood that the road to success is being constantly built, that we each perceive success differently, and that there is no recommended and guaranteed recipe to get it.
![]() My professional path starts in the summer of 1999, when right after I graduated from the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics, I obtained an entry-level position in the Computer System Department of BRD. Having a double speciality (economics and informatics), I accepted the challenge of working first on a technical position, knowing that I would later step towards the business activity, which had been by preference and objective ever since college. In 2004, I made that step in the Strategy and Marketing Department, where I was in charge of developing the functionalities of the remote bank services. I see the period spent with the Marketing Department, first as a Product Analyst, then as a Cash Management Project Manager, as one in which I gathered experience and skills in various fields of the banking business. Since February 2007, I have been coordinating the Customer desk within the Cash Management team, as a natural follow-up of the path begun in informatics and continued in marketing. To me, professional success depends both on chance, on the capacity to identify it, and on the perseverance with which you go for it. There is no miracle recipe, we each build our careers according to a progressive scenario, taking into account skills, opportunities, potential victories, but also possible failures, all examined from a constructive perspective. When the company supports you in managing your career, the road to success is easier. Beyond success, there is well-organized work and a valuable team without which it would be impossible to have a positive outcome of our activity.
![]() In the period 1997-2001, I was a student in Cluj Napoca and the courses were held in a building right across the street from where the current offices of the BRD Cluj Branch were being built. I watched it grow higher and higher every day... it was then that I first wished to work for BRD. 6 months after I graduated (February, 2002), I had the chance to join the team in Tirnaveni Agency (Mures Group). My first position was that of "Products and Services Administrator II" (i.e.: cards, cash-desk and a bit of loans to individuals). I was hired on a determined period; the time was rather short and my mind was set on staying with BRD... I had to prove myself! When the contract expired, I was offered the position of "Monetics Correspondent". I accepted and, starting that moment, for an undetermined period, I was to coordinate the card activity in the county branch of Tg. Mures. It was a lot of hard work, but it was matched by the results, and when the Mures Group opened the position of "Marketing Coordinator", I applied and got the job. The attributions specific to each position filled and the experiences I had helped me understand the importance each of us has in this huge mechanism which is the BRD network. But the experience that helped me grow professionally, by giving me the chance to know in depth the dimension of the BRD network and of the Bank phenomenon, was the position of "Commercial Promotion Coordinator" within the Network Commercial Department. At present, after almost four years spent in the Headquarters of the bank, I came back to the Network for a new challenge. |
