The banking regime applicable to non - residents:

Non - residents have the right to acquire, hold and use financial assets denominated in foreign currency or in the national currency of Romania - Lei.
The amounts denominated in Lei and in foreign currency held by the non-residents can be exchanged on the exchange market.
Non-residents can open and hold accounts in foreign currency and in lei with the lending institutions.
Non-residents can repatriate and transfer the financial assets they hold in Romania.
