According to the new loan conditions came into force at end August 2005, you'll actually need botha bigger down payment and additional incomes to be eligible for a loan. For this reason, BRD encourages you to design your own programmed saving plan, in the rhythm you wish with an attractive interest. After only 2 years, during which you can cumulate the down payment you need, this plan will allow you to enter both a personal loan at an exceptional interest rate, and a housing loan, for which the bank gives you a bonus of up to EUR 3.000 or RON 12.000.
The deposit interest is too low
The interest offered by BRD for the saving plan in EUR is superior to the one for 1-year term deposit and is guaranteed by agreement for the entire period. In addition, you have access to MULTIPLAN by minimum deposits of EUR 10 or RON 40 / month.
What happens if I forget to come to the bank on the due day for periodical deposits?
It won't be necessary, you can come at the bank anytime to credit the current account attached to MULTIPLAN and on the due day the sum will be automatically debited from your current account and credited in your saving and credit plan.
Lately, I've noticed that there is an interest-decreasing trend, I don't want to risk by committing for a long period with BRD.
By choosing MULTIPLAN, you will benefit from a very advantageous interest rate, flat and guaranteed for the entire saving period.
What guarantees do I have that after saving I will be able to take a loan?
The interest rate for the personal loan, the maximum length (5 years) and the maximum loan sum (EUR 20.000 or RON 80.000), as well as the minimum term for granting the housing loan (10 years) and the minimum amount (EUR 20.000 or RON 80.000) are guaranteed by agreement by BRD and cannot be modified during the entire duration of the agreement.
What if after the saving phase I do not qualify to take a loan at BRD?
Indeed, when applying for a loan, you must meet the standard conditions in force (age, revenues, guarantor etc.). If you cannot take the loan you wish, your right may be used by another member of the family, who will be able to apply for a loan, benefiting of all the cumulated rights (yours plus his/hers).
How can I financially support a MULTIPLAN for each of my children in order to assign them my right for a loan on the due date?
It is very easy. The minimum amount to be regularly deposited in the MULTIPLAN account is very accessible: EUR 10 or RON 40 per month, EUR 30 or RON 120 per quarter, EUR 60 or RON 240 per semester.
How much do I have to save per month and for how long in order to receive the bonus of EUR 3.000 for the housing loan?
In order to benefit from the maximum bonus of EUR 3.000, you have to meet the following conditions simultaneously:
- the real estate/mortgage loan in EUR must be on a term superior or equal to 20 years
- the minimum amount of the loan must be of EUR 20.000
- you must have a programmed saving plan of EUR 122 per month for a 5-year period or of EUR 337 per month for a 3-year period.
I have heard that the State reduced the premium for such saving - loan products. Can the same thing happen with the bonus for the real estate/mortgage loan attached to MULTIPLAN?
The bonus is offered entirely by BRD for securing a housing loan, without involving the State. The bonus is established depending on the interest cumulated on the savings, as well as on the duration of the mortgage/real estate loan, and its granting is guaranteed from the signing of the agreement.
The saving period being quite long and the product extremely complex, I might not have a good account of the steps to follow. It is very difficult to follow what happens to my plan.
You don't need to worry, because, during the saving period, you will be permanently informed by specific notifications (which you will receive by mail) on each important event occurred in the development of the plan. By these notifications you will receive confirmations for all the amendments made, we will keep you informed on the evolution of the saved amount and we will signal the options you have, in the key moments of the plan and not only.
Do I have to go to the bank every month to deposit money in the account?
You can come to BRD anytime before the due date to deposit the sum for which you committed, given that on the due date the sum is automatically debited from the current account you mentioned in the agreement. Also, you can choose the quarterly or half-yearly deposit type, if it is easier for you.
What happens if on the settled due date I do not deposit the sum that I committed to?
If a deposit was omitted, the sum will be carried forward to the following due date. On the third consecutive failed deposit, the agreement is automatically finished and the right to loan is lost.
