BRD Groupe Société Générale simplifies its commissioning grid

09 Nov 2014

BRD adopts a new commissionning list * for the operations performed by its retail customers.

The new list is meant to simplify the structure of tarriffs and commissions, bringing benefits for the use of basic banking services and products: current account, debit card, internet and mobile banking services, as well as BRD’s contact center by the diminishing of the costs related to their use. It communicates in a clearer manner tarriffs corresponding to each transaction area and encourages the use of internet and mobile banking.

Among the new features of the commissioning list are multimple gratuities for intra-banking cashings, intra-banking payments performed through online banking services and contact center, unlimited checks of own account balance, both at BRD ATMs and through BRD’s contact center. These gratuities are part of the first stage of simplification of the tarriffs and commissions list, which has been in force since November 6.

In the second stage, beginning with January 6, 2015, the bank will eliminate the commissionning by tranches of inter and intra banking payments and cashings in RON, as well as the SWIFT tarriffs pending to interbank payments in FX. Also, the level of commissions pending to online banking services and that of commissions for cards services will be expressed in RON.

„On one hand, we want to bring more benefits to custmers at the level of basic products and services and, on the other, to offer smaller commissions for payments made through internet and mobile banking. In this respect, the consultation free of charge of the account balance at the bank’s ATMs is an immediate benefit granted to the more than 2 million BRD card holders”, said Bogdan Spuza, Executive Director, Marketing and product management, BRD.
