Important changes to the products and services offered by BRD

Continuing the strategy of simplifying the offer for individuals and at the same time digitalizing the bank-customer relationship, from 21.06.2024 we are modifying certain contractual conditions of payment products and services for individuals.

Thus, we want to enhance the benefits for customers who own or purchase BRD current account packages, as well as encourage the use of digital channels, with the following advantages for our customers:

Saving time and money: ZERO monthly administration fee for a group of products or services compared to buying them individually, depending on the type of package and the customer's transactional behaviour;
A bundle of benefits: packages, depending on their type, include both financial benefits (e.g.: ZERO costs for: monthly account management, annual debit card management, unlimited incomings in lei, unlimited cash withdrawals in lei from any ATM in Romania etc. ), as well as additional benefits or discounts on other non-financial products, such as: free hospital insurance*, free travel insurance attached to the Gold or Platinum debit card**, preferential premium for Confort insurance***, discounts on travel using the booking.com platform or at various BRD partners - Altex, Emag, Carturesti etc.;
Smart solutions: purchasing a package is a convenient option for customers' needs and offers advantages for other products or services purchased individually (e.g. discounts or free fees on credit products, depending on the package chosen);
Planning, predictability and convenience: the purchase of a current account package provides better control over the client's personal budget, allowing him to manage his financial resources efficiently. Thus, with YOU BRD internet and mobile banking service, optionally included in the package, customers can view their account balance in real time, open savings accounts or term deposits, or change the limits of the card in the package. In addition, there is ZERO commission for instant payments in RON to RON accounts opened at banks in Romania.

Also, the contractual provisions previously agreed with the bank remain applicable for:

preferential cost amounts agreed under agreements concluded by BRD with the employer/income payer;
the current account with basic services, benefiting from certain free/preferential fees in accordance with the law and the contractual documentation concluded with the bank.

Amendments to the contractual conditions of payment products and services for individuals are:

The management fee for the current account in lei will be 8 lei / month / account, compared to 6 lei / month / account, as it is currently; in foreign currency will be 15 lei / month / account (equivalent in account currency), compared to 10 lei / month / account (equivalent in account currency), as it is currently; In the case of current accounts included in a package of products and services, the management fee for the current account will remain included in the management fee for the package;
We modify certain costs related to operations performed at bank counters (cash deposit, cash withdrawal, intrabanking payments, interbanking payments), respectively through the internet and mobile banking service YOU BRD (interbanking payments);
We are changing the cost of sending the monthly statement for current accounts / savings accounts / credit cards by post from the current 5 lei/month/account (or equivalent in account currency) to 10 lei/month/account (or equivalent in account currency);
We modify the account management fee dedicated to BRD Capital Markets financial investment services, applicable to customers who do not have a current account with BRD, as follows: lei - will be 8 lei / month / account, compared to 6 lei / month / account, as it is currently; foreign currency - will be 15 lei / month / account (equivalent in account currency), compared to 10 lei / month / account (equivalent in account currency), as it is currently;
We are introducing maximum daily limits for cash deposit transactions made by debit or credit card at MBA terminals (maximum number and maximum total amount);
For Standard and Gold credit cards, we change certain conditions applicable to the Interest-Free Instalment Programme, the Interest-Based Instalment Programme and the Telephone Money Programme.
