BRD, In The World’s Factoring Top 3

    BRD-Groupe Société Générale is ranked 3rd in the top made by Factors Chain International following the criterion of the quality of international factoring services over the last 5 years. BRD is the only EEC factor to be present in the top 10. The bank has also secured two other Top 10 positions, in two other categories: „Best Export and Import factor” (8th place) and „Best Export factor” (8th place). Having the most complex offer in the local market, the bank is the leader of the Romanian factoring market, with a 35.7% market share in 2014.

   „Our constant ranking at the top of the world’s 10 best providers of factoring, according to FCI ranking, demonstrate that BRD is a true factoring school, our international factoring services being appreciated as „excellent” by our foreign partners”, said Anca Dogaru, Deputy Head of Global Transaction Banking with BRD.

    In 2014, BRD’s turnover from factoring operations was up 5% versus 2013, at over EUR 960 M. Structurally, internal factoring have 74%, whereas international operations have 26% of the total volumes.

 BRD-Groupe Société Générale is the second bank in Romania considering the total assets’ volume. BRD - Groupe Société Générale has 2.2 million customers and operates a network of 861 units. With around 2.2m valid cards and a network acceptance over 25,000 POS, and 1,500 ATMs, BRD is no. 1 on the Romanian card market. With factoring operations of EUR 960m in 2014, BRD is the leader of the factoring market. Total assets of the Bank as at March 2015 amounted to RON 45.8 bn.
