Bucharest, November 19, 2024

The Unbreakable are those for whom the impossible does not exist. They are the ones who continue to explore, dream and learn, regardless of the obstacles. An event was created for them to give them wings and encourage them to face everything that seems invincible. This courageous musical project will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Romanian Athenaeum. Tickets are available in Eventim network and all the amounts collected will support the activity of Climb Again Association, which offers hundreds of thousands of hours of climbing therapy to children with disabilities.

The "Unbreakable" event is at its second edition, a project that marks the "World Day of Persons with Disabilities". The concert will bring to the stage of the Romanian Athenaeum works that oscillate aesthetically between Renaissance, Baroque and Modernism, performed by the New Hope Orchestra, conducted by Andrei Stănculescu, but also by two choral ensembles: the BRD Choir and the "Voicu Enăchescu" Prelude Choir.

"For each of us, being undefeated means something else. For me it meant the dream of having an orchestra to put at the service of good, a dream that I managed to turn into reality 6 years ago. For the Prelude Choir, with a history of over five decades, it meant getting over the moment when Maestro Voicu Enăchescu, the heart of this ensemble, stopped beating. For the colleagues in the BRD Choir, being unbreakable may have meant overcoming the fear of going up on the most important stage of Romanian classical music, at the Romanian Athenaeum. Certainly, for the children of Climb Again, every extra step, every successful climbing grip, is a new proof of courage. On December 3rd, we will let music remind us what makes us not give up and how we can activate this superpower of each of us", said cellist Octavian Lup - conductor of the New Hope Orchestra and initiator of the project.

"We are happy to support this concert-event which, through the power of music, speaks of solidarity, courage and hope. Behind this symbolic name – Unbreakable – there is a community of people who, regardless of the challenges, never give up, but always get up. We want the "Unbreakable" to be not only the children supported by the Climb Again Association, but all of us, as members of an united and inclusive society, which leaves no one behind. I thank all those who make this concert possible – New Hope orchestra, Prelude Choir and, of course, our colleagues from BRD Choir, who will literally add to our emotion and thoughts", said Flavia Popa, Secretary General of BRD Groupe Société Générale.

Built in the context of an exceptional musical project, unique in the landscape of large corporations - "Playing for Philharmonie de Paris" - BRD choir brings together music enthusiasts from the bank and has participated, throughout its 8 years of existence, in several concert events, both in Bucharest and in several cities in the country. Since its establishment, BRD Choir has been conducted by Andrei Stănculescu.
